Welcome! I'm Jill. It's nice to meet you!
When I think about my origin as a photographer, I have to give credit to my dad as the true inciting incident. Our house was always filled with a constant shuffle of camcorder tapes and stacks of freshly developed photos—snapshots from first days of school, family road trips, and endless birthdays. But what really stuck with me wasn’t just the milestones being captured; it was the moments in between, the quiet lulls that seemed almost insignificant in the moment but spoke volumes when I looked back at them years later. As a kid, I didn’t fully understand the importance of those seemingly mundane moments, but as I got older and looked through those family albums, I was struck by how much life existed in those “unimportant” pauses—whether it was a candid laugh caught mid-conversation, the way sunlight filtered through the trees, or a fleeting glance shared between family members. Those moments stuck with me because they weren’t planned or posed, yet they felt the most real and authentic.
That curiosity about why those moments were worth capturing became the foundation of my passion for photography. I began to wonder—what makes a moment truly memorable? What makes it worth freezing in time? It wasn’t just the big events but the little, unposed moments—the ones that felt raw, unfiltered, and completely true to life—that called to me. Those are the moments I now seek to capture in every wedding, in every couple’s story. They are the ones that truly tell the narrative of who we are and the love we share.
xoxo, Jillian
